Why I’m Running

This district isn’t just where I live – it’s where I’m from. I grew up at the base of the Santa Monica Mountains, attended our local public schools, and later returned to raise my family in the same community that shaped me. For decades, I’ve been proud to give back through local leadership and public service.

Over the years, I’ve seen how much has changed. Climate change is hitting our district hard, bringing more extreme heat, dangerous storms, and devastating wildfires. I’ve been on the front lines of fire recovery and resilience efforts, helping communities rebuild while pushing for smarter, stronger protections. I know what it takes to get results when our neighborhoods are at risk.

At the same time, far too many families are struggling with affordability, whether it’s housing, utilities, insurance or the rising cost of daily life. Our district needs bold, experienced leadership that can deliver practical solutions and real support.

That’s why I’m running for State Assembly. I’m ready to carry our shared priorities to Sacramento, to fight for environmental resilience, economic fairness, and the future of the community we all love.
